On October 22, 2011 at around 7:00 pm George’s Gateway caught fire on the west side of the building.  Despite the hard work of the Bedford Fire Department, our building was declared a total loss.  Thankfully, no one was injured as a result of the fire.

We would like to express our sincere thanks to the Bedford Fire Department, Bedford Police Department, EMS personnel and Tabernacle of Praise Emergency Services for all their efforts.  Fire, police, EMS and volunteer workers stayed late into the evening securing the scene and working to contain the fire.  We sincerely appreciate your efforts to save our store and to protect the public from harm.

Also, we would like to thank Jack Kenworthy of Bedford Federal Savings Bank and the countless number of community members who came to show their support.

Lastly, we would like to thank Smokin Jim’s for donating food for emergency service workers on the scene.

In just a few hours following the beginning of the fire we have received a great outpouring of support from the Bedford community.  Your calls, emails and messages have been a comfort during this stressful time.

Please bear with us while we attempt to move forward from this loss.  If you need to contact us, please use the email address or form provided below.  Your thoughts and support are very much appreciated.

With sincere thanks,
Kim and Tom Bertolino
